The sauce for godeungeo-jorim(braised mackerel) is made by mixing a generous amount of Gochujang(red chili paste) or red pepper flakes with soy sauce. Because mackerel can have a strong fishy smell, the sauce also includes generous dollops of garlic and ginger. Mackerel is braised on top of potatoes or white radish while the sauce is intermittently spooned over the fish. That's all!
